Location
Le Marche lies on the eastern side of Central Italy, between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine Mountains . In comparison to it’s central neighbours, Tuscany and Umbria , it remains relatively unspoilt by mass tourism and offers visitors a chance to taste real Italy . Le Marche people are extremely friendly and welcoming and the area itself offers a multitude of activities and interests to suit all tastes.
Castel Clementino’s position in the heart of Le Marche means that it is possible to access both the coast and the interior with relative ease. The following areas are within reach.

- Macerata - Sferisterio Roman amphitheatre ( serious world renowned opera) (60 mins)
Local towns to visit include
- Sarnano, Amandola, Monte San Martino,Smerillo
- Penna San Giovanni, Santa Vittoria in Matenano
- Servigliano, Fermo, Ascoli Piceno, most of which have very good and reasonably priced restaurants. Journey time from the villa varies from 10 minutes to an hour.
For mountain lovers the Sibillini mountains offers
- Piano Grande/Cartelluccio (90 mins)
- Montemonaco/Lago di Pilato (45mins)
- Fiastra /San Lorenzo al Lago (60 mins)
- Canoeing, fishing, pedaloes, nature walks, white water rafting, hoverspeed, quad biking, hang gliding, cycling, lake swimming (www.asgaia.it)
And in winter:
- Skiing at Sassotetto and Bolegnola (60 mins)

For wine lovers try visiting
- Vineyards at Conero for Rosso Conero
- Vineyards around Jesi for Verdicchio
- Local Dezi Vineyard on road to Servigliano, all within easy reach of the villa
Race lovers might want to travel to
- Imolo or San Marino for Formula One (about 1.5-2 hours)
